Jane Rist MA
Biography

Born In Wiltshire in 1961, Jane Rist was educated at Cardiff and Reading Universities, taking a BA in English in 1983 followed by a Masters in ‘Literature and the Visual Arts 1840-1940.’ She pursued a career in London as an architectural journalist then retrained as a milliner at the London College of Fashion and created Foxwell & Moon, which supplied Harrods for several seasons in the 1990s. This was followed by a period living in Hampshire, bringing up her three children, freelancing in journalism and making privately commissioned hats often for Ascot and other events of the Season.

Five years ago, Jane took a Foundation Course (Distinction), where she was runner-up in the Best Artist end of year show, continuing her artistic studies at the Art Academy where she graduated on their Certificate in Painting course and took part in the Graduate Show, July 2015.
